Say Hello to Gravy ✮

The story goes like this…

Summer, June 2025, midnight. I woke up overheated and wandered out of my bedroom to grab some water and cool down a bit. I stopped by the thermostat and standing there, in my half sleep/half awake stupor, I heard a small sound. A high pitched, whining scream coming from my front porch.

I learned many things this night but most importantly I learned that I would be an incredibly easy target in a horror movie because despite all the times I’ve yelled at my screen to “not go out there” and “lock the door” and “call the police” I stumbled out onto the porch in the middle of the night by myself to try to locate the source of the scream.

That’s when I saw her, curled up on the edge of my porch, huddled up next to a pillar on the very top step.

The tiniest, grey fluff ball of a kitten I ever did see.

I got the kids to help me coax the little dust sprite inside, gave her a bit of lactose free milk & she never left.

After we lost Beans, I did not think I would ever want or be ready for another cat. Gravy said hold my drink and screamed her way into a forever home. You can find her napping on my youngest, tormenting my oldest, yelling at Mr. Natalie when her food bowl is low and in some of my videos acting as creative director and moral support. She fits right in.

We named her Graves but all her friends call her Gravy.
